The deep V-hulls of the new sport boats were designed to allow a quiet journey in rough conditions. The stronger the deadrise the more the necessity rises to set the trim tabs to going straight. The rolling and the heeling is dependent on the wind and the location of the passenger. The pitch is dependent on the speed and load.

While changing course, the wind direction changes and the boat has to be trimmed again. If the passengers change their location, a new trim is necessary also. The necessity to constantly adjust the trim to the changing load conditions distracts the boat operator constantly and is a high safety risk especially at high speed.

The automatic trim system (ACS) is taking that work from the operator. Trimm position changes through the wind, a new course or changed seating positions of passengers are automatically dealt with through the system.

The ACS RP (Roll & Pitch) sets the boat automatically in an optimal trim concerning the rolling axle by avoiding the heeling. The transverse axis steering improves visibility and makes driving in a half glide are possible. Additionally, acceleration is improved.

Suited for almost all trim tab systems!

Function: with the operating panel you can turn a manual trim system into a fully automatic trim system.

Installation: the existing operating unit is replaced by the ACS operating unit by MENTE MARINE - connection of 6 cables. The installed sensors measure the movement of the boat.

The deep V-hulls of modern pleasure boats are designed to allow for a smooth ride in rough water conditions. The deeper the V, the greater need there is to keep the trim tabs straight. The rollers and lateral inclination depend on the wind and the positioning of passengers. The longitudinal tilt (pitch), also called trim, depends on both speed and load.
Course changes will also change the wind direction, causing the boat to re-trim. If passengers change their position, the vessel must also be re-trimmed. The need to constantly trim in order to adapt to changing load conditions places unnecessary stress on the coxswain and therefore represents a safety risk when travelling at high speeds.
The automatic trim system (ACS) takes control of this process for you. Trim changes caused by wind, new courses or the changing seating positions of passengers are automatically compensated for by this system.
The ACS R automatically adjusts the boat into the optimal trim with respect to the rolling axis by eliminating heeling. It is the best choice for small and fast boats with minimal bow rises.

How it works: The switch panel makes a manual trim system into a fully automatic trim system.
Installation: The existing operating unit can only be swapped with the ACS operating unit from Mente Marine - connection of 6 cables. The built-in sensors measure the movements of the boat.
